Vendor Appraisal & Consultancy Service:

If selling the business is premature in the market, or unlikely to meet the owner's objectives, TTO may recommend a delay of the sale and examination of other options.

Alternative options will depend upon the owner's objectives but can involve a recommendation for investment, raising capital from private or public sources, acquisition and consolidation or in some cases divestitures of non-core or underperforming assets.

More usually it will involve strategic advice to enhance the existing business so that it is more attractive to potential purchasers. This process normally begins with an appraisal of the business with a view to enhancing its sale value by any number of strategies, including but not limited to; marketing and costs analysis; sales and revenues analysis; corporate structure advice; tax advice; financial re-modelling; preparing due diligence material.

The results of the appraisal will be discussed with the owner's and, if appropriate, the key management team, in order to create a plan of action. During the execution phase key business administration systems will be put in place so that come time for due diligence during any future transaction all necessary documentation is readily available.

Once the business is ready to be marketed the sale process will begin in earnest. The key to any transaction is preparation and the earlier we are involved the greater the likelihood of a successful outcome.
